Andrea Bocelli sings Amazing Grace in spectacular new live performance | Music | Entertainment

Ahead of performing at BST Hyde Park this summer, Andrea Bocelli has celebrated the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ this year with a music special filmed at Lakewood Church in Texas.

The Italian maestro sang a duet of Hallelujah with his 12-year-old daughter Virginia Bocelli, alongside the likes of You’ll Never Walk Alone, Pianissimo, The Prayer and I Believe.

He then concluded the Easter music special with a spectacular rendition of John Newton’s Amazing Grace.

For the final performance, the 65-year-old was accompanied by a grand piano, cellos and violins.

Bocelli recently wrote on social media: “It is never too late to rediscover the sense of our inner time: the time for doing good and living well, together. It is a blessed impulse and shall never be time wasted!

“To be reborn, as the Christian holiday reminds us each year, is the manifest miracle of our existence that is renewed every day. Happy Easter to you all!”
