Airman shared classified intel with Boogaloo Bois: FBI

(NewsNation) — The hunt continues for some of the people who may have seen classified government papers shared by a U.S. Air Force intelligence analyst who’s now doing time on a child porn conviction.

According to court records unsealed Wednesday, Airman Jason Travis Gray shared the documents with fellow members of the violent anti-government Boogaloo Bois.

The papers say that Gray ran an anti-government Facebook page, and at one point shared classified material he “likely” got from the National Security Agency. And investigators have yet to identify all of the more than half-dozen recipients.

Gray is serving a five-year prison sentence for distributing child pornography. Investigators looking into the security breach found hundreds of pictures on his computer. Gray agreed to plead guilty on those charges in exchange for the government not charging him over the classified material.

The investigation of Gray began nearly two years ago, according to the filings. In an early interview, Gray said he was upset and disgruntled about being transferred to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska.

The court papers show that Gray was the moderator of a Facebook page called “CNN Journalist Support Group.” It was among several pages that Facebook and other social media platforms shut down after the deadly August 2020 protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

A day before that protest, a post on Gray’s Facebook page said that “bois of the movement” would be in Kenosha, where 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse fatally shot two people.

Gray was arrested in January 2023. Last month, a judge sentenced him to 60 months in prison, 25 years supervised release and $28,000 restitution. When he’s released, he’ll have to register as a sex offender. Gray has denied being involved with the Boogaloo Bois. After his arrest, he was discharged from the Air Force.
