AI death prediction researchers warn of copycats

(NewsNation) — Danish researchers who created an AI death prediction model are warning of scam sites featuring fraudulent copycats.

The Life2vec AI Chatbot was revealed late last year, but remains private and unavailable to the public, according to a report from Metro. Fake websites may try to harvest data or personal information.

The original AI model uses details such as a person’s income, profession and medical history to make predictions about life expectancy and income, Metro reported.

Data such as gender, certain diagnoses or unhealthy habits can be indicators of whether a person is expected to live a longer or shorter life, according to the report.

During test runs, the AI calculator accurately predicted outcomes in 78% of cases.
