Adele is pumping the breaks on her ongoing Las Vegas residency after coming down with an unspecified illness.

The pop superstar announced the news on Instagram, telling fans that the postponement of all the March shows comes after she met with her medical team over a recurring health problem.

“Sadly I have to take a beat and pause my Vegas residency. I was sick at the end of the last leg and all the way through my break,” she wrote.

“I hadn’t quite gotten the chance to get back to full health before the shows resumed and now I’m sick again, and unfortunately it’s all taken a toll on my voice.”

On “doctor’s orders,” the Grammy winner said that she has “no choice but to rest thoroughly.”

“I love you. I’ll miss you like mad and I’m sorry for the inconvenience,” she concluded her message.

Adele’s Vegas residency was hit with problems early on, with her initial run of shows delayed in early 2022 due to COVID-19. The Make You Feel My Love songstress eventually kicked off her Weekends With Adele series at the Colosseum Theater inside Caesars Palace to great acclaim.

Her run has been extended into June of this year. There’s no announced date for the rescheduled shows, but Adele is slated to head to Germany later this summer for a series of concerts in Munich.

Adele will perform in “an open-air environment that has been exclusively created for these special shows,” a press release announced last month. “The bespoke arena will feature a combination of seated grandstands and standing areas with capacity for 80,000 people per night.”

The concerts will mark the first time Adele has played mainland Europe since 2016.

Adele celebrated the news with a post to her Instagram.

“So a few months ago I got a call about a summer run of shows. I’ve been content as anything with my shows in London’s Hyde Park and my residency in Vegas, so I hadn’t had any other plans,” she wrote.

“However, I was too curious to not follow up and indulge in this idea — a one off, bespoke pop-up stadium designed around whatever show I want to put on? Ohh!? Pretty much slap bang in the middle of Europe? In Munich? That’s a bit random, but still fabulous! Right after the Euros? Come on England! With the Olympics next door? Go on Simone! And some of my favourite artists playing shows too? Why…YES!! I haven’t played in Europe since 2016! I couldn’t think of a more wonderful way to spend my summer and end this beautiful phase of my life and career with shows closer to home during such an exciting summer.”
