A Plague Tale Innocence is the latest release to be given away for free by Epic Games. To coincide with the company’s festive sale, Epic Games is giving customers the chance to download and keep A Plague Tale Innocence for free, no strings attached. Typically retailing for £34.99, the highly rated adventure game is free until 4pm GMT UK time on January 4, so you’d better act fast to avoid missing out. Epic Games customers will be able to grab a different freebie later this afternoon.
Earning rave reviews when it launched back in 2019, A Plague Tale Innocence is a narrative driven adventure game set during the Hundred Years’ War.
Primarily focusing on stealth gameplay and escape sequences, players will need to avoid French Inquisition soldiers, as well as hordes of rats that are spreading the plague.
Epic explains more: “Follow the grim tale of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo, in a heartrending journey through the darkest hours of history.
“Hunted by Inquisition soldiers and surrounded by unstoppable swarms of rats, Amicia and Hugo will come to know and trust each other. As they struggle to survive against overwhelming odds, they will fight to find purpose in this brutal, unforgiving world.”
