A 35-year-old Whitby man and a 34-year-old Oshawa man have been charged with attempted murder while a 27-year-old Whitby man faces a slew of firearms charges tied to a Mississauga shooting.

Peel Regional Police were called on Nov. 8 at 12:33 p.m. to a shooting in the Matheson Blvd.-Creekbank Rd. area.

Police found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a trauma centre and is currently in stable condition.
Officers from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau launched Project Poseidon to identify and locate the suspects involved in the shooting.
On Friday, investigators executed multiple search warrants across the GTA and three suspects were arrested. Three firearms were also seized along with a “significant quantity of drugs,” Peel cops said in a news release.

Angelo Reid, of Oshawa, was charged with attempted murder, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited firearm knowing possession of firearm is unauthorized, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition knowing its possession is unauthorized, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, and possess firearm with altered serial number.
Ralphord Shaw, of Whitby, is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm, and three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Anthony Jones, of Whitby, is charged with attempted murder.
