A star of the MTV reality show 16 and Pregnant has died aged 20 after a horrific accident involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
Sean Garinger appeared on season six of the show with his ex-partner Selena Gutierrez, 20, with whom he had two daughters — Dareli, three, and Esmi, one.
Garinger died on February 28 in North Carolina when an ATV flipped over as he tried to move it, landing on top of him.

His mother, Mary Hobbs, told the US Sun that Garinger’s skull was “crushed” in the freak fatal accident.
“He was just moving (the ATV) from one parking spot to the next for me, so I could back in to park,” she explained.
“He pulled in front of me to park the ATV and the ground gave way from all the rain and mud.”
The ATV flipped, landing on Garinger and leaving him with severe head injuries.
“I ran to neighbours trying to get someone to help me get the ATV off him,” Hobbs said.
“No one answered.
“I ran back to him.
“By that time, I realised he wasn’t alive anymore.”
As she waited for an ambulance, she said she “laid next to” her dead son.
“There was a huge part of my heart that died with my son on Wednesday,” she said.
“He was my only son, my rock, my strength when I had none left.”
Describing her son, Hobbs said he “loved spontaneously jumping in the car for a road trip or a beach sesh”.
They shared a mutual love of music, cars and going on new adventures.
“Sean brightened my world in a way no one else could ever come close to,” Hobbs said.
“He was my baby boy … my heartbeat.”
Watauga County Sheriff’s Office Major Kelly Redmon told the Watauga Democrat that paramedics and police had attended the horrific scene.
“Our hearts are heavy with some for the loss experienced by the family and loved ones of the victim,” police said in a statement.
According to an obituary posted by Austin & Barnes Funeral Home, Garinger, known by his nickname of “Squishy”, was a kind and generous young man.
“He never knew a stranger, regardless of age, and was always willing to lend a helping hand,” the obituary read.
“His kind and generous nature endeared him to all who knew him.”
The obituary stated that Garinger “had a passion for living life to the fullest” and that “his adventurous spirit and love for excitement were evident in all aspects of his life”.
“He enjoyed driving RC cars, skydiving, shark diving, dirt bikes, flying his drone, driving ATVs, surfing, and spending time in the ocean,” it read.
He had been separated from the mother of his children for more than a year, and both had been dating other people.
But he had seen Gutierrez only a week before his death, when he visited to spend time with his two daughters.
A funeral was held for Garinger on March 2.
