Zendaya celebrated her birthday in a sweet way this week.
The Emmy winner, who turned 28 on Sunday, shared an Instagram post marking the occasion with an adorable throwback picture of her younger self.
“Just popping on here to say how appreciative I am for all of the kind birthday wishes, it truly means the world to me…Here’s to 28!” she wrote in a caption for the post.
The actor, who was born Sept. 1, 1996, has made sharing throwback photos something of a birthday tradition over the years.
Last year for her 27th birthday, she shared an old picture of herself as a child sporting a big smile for the camera.
“Every year I grow I’m reminded of how precious this life is, thank you all for helping me fill it up with so much love,” she wrote at the time.
Zendaya recently starred in the film “Challengers,” which premiered in the spring.
She played Tashi Duncan, a former tennis prodigy who ends up coaching her husband in his tennis career after she suffered a severe injury.
The “Euphoria” actor said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in April that she was “terrified” when she learned tennis legend Venus Williams would be attending the film’s premiere.
Zendaya explained that while it was an “honor” to have Williams watch her movie, she hoped the tennis great wouldn’t be “distracted by my tennis abilities.”
