Toronto Police have charged two youths after an investigation into a North York break-in.

On Feb. 6, police were called to a break and enter in the Sheppard-Shaughnessy Aves. area.

Police said the suspects allegedly entered a residence by breaking the glass on the front door. The homeowner heard the noise and saw that his Range Rover had been stolen from the driveway. The suspects fled in a vehicle.

On Feb. 23 at 2:57 p.m., police were called to a suspicious incident, also in the Sheppard-Shaughnessy area.
Police said a resident in the area reported a Range Rover vehicle allegedly racing in the neighbourhood and then parking. The two suspects fled the area on foot, leaving the vehicle behind. They were wearing masks and hooded tops and were carrying a bag.

Police determined the vehicle was stolen.
The suspects were found during a search of the area, arrested and a firearm was also allegedly seized.

Two male youths, both 17 and from Toronto, were charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, careless storage of a firearm , unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition and possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime.
One of the youths was also charged with failing to comply with a release order.
