It’s been a huge 12 months for Rozee who proposed to Packer in October last year.

Not long after that, the impressive young man was announced as captain of Port Adelaide and signed a whopping eight-year contract.

And soon after that he announced that they were expecting.

Rozzee was the centre of an injury storm at the start of May, when he played despite being under an injury cloud.

While scans showed some damage, Rozee was declared fit to face the Crows, but the move backfired and he was substituted out at three quarter-time and Port Adelaide lost the game.

In the fallout, coach Ken Hinkley apologised.

“I apologise to our supporters for the decision that was made,” Hinkley said.

“The decision was made collectively but I am in charge.

“And I set Connor up to fail as a player by the way he had to perform out there.”

Rozee also took ownership of the call and said he was sorry.
