Young man killed, three others injured, in horrific crash near Bathurst

A young man died, and three others were injured, in a two-car crash in NSW’s Central Tablelands on Monday morning.

The 20-year-old man was driving along Mitchell Hwy, Dunkeld, about 12km west of Bathurst, when he crashed with another car about 7.30am on Monday.

The man was declared dead at the scene.

The female driver of the other car, and a male and female passenger, were all trapped before being rescued by emergency services.

Both women were flown to Liverpool Hospital in serious conditions.

The male passenger was taken to Orange Health Service for further treatment.

All westbound lanes of the Mitchell Hwy remain closed near Marys Lane, according to police.

Motorists were advised to divert via the Mid-Western Hwy to Blayney, then Milthorpe Rd to rejoin the Mitchell Hwy at Shadforth.
