Woman stabbed in head found in front yard of Dundas Valley home in Sydney’s northwest

A 44-year-old woman has been found with stab wounds to her head in the front yard of a Dundas Valley home in Sydney’s northwest on Wednesday night.

She was found alongside a second victim, a 21-year-old woman, when police responded to reports of an assault outside the home on Friendship St just before 11pm.

“Police were told a group of people allegedly assaulted the women in the front yard of the home, before they left the scene prior to police arrival,” NSW Police said.

Both women were treated at the scene, and the older woman was taken to Westmead Hospital.

A 44-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were arrested near the crime scene and taken to Gladesville Police Station.

The man was charged with reckless wounding in company, and refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Thursday.
