A woman has been rushed to hospital after she was hit by a train in southwest Sydney.
The woman, aged in her 40s, sustained multiple injuries when she was hit at Punchbowl Railway Station about 3.30pm on Tuesday.
A large team of paramedics including intensive care, critical care and rescue paramedics rushed to the station to treat the woman before she was taken to St George Hospital.

A Fire and Rescue NSW team was also at the station.
A paramedic was seen performing chest compressions on the woman as she was taken on a gurney to a waiting ambulance.
No further information about her condition is available at this stage.
Trains are not running on the T3 line between Bankstown and Campsie.
“Replacement buses have been requested but are not on site,” Transport NSW said.
“Passengers are advised to delay their trips or allow plenty of extra travel time.
“Passengers are also advised to listen to announcements and check information displays for service updates.”
