Spanish police arrested the woman’s 50-year-old husband in connection with her death, which sources told local media was believed to be related to some “extreme sexual practices” the couple were into.
Local police were alerted to the unresponsive woman in an Airbnb-style flat in the historic city centre.
Paramedics arrived but the woman was already dead at the scene.
The cause of death has not been revealed pending an autopsy.

Sources told Diario Sur that the couple had been vacationing there for several days and investigators found substances that led them to believe the pair had been engaging in sex games while on drugs.
The case was being investigated as gender-based violence, before law enforcement upgraded the incident to homicide since the evidence points to an accidental death during extreme, risky sexual practices in an “intimate context,” according to La Opinion de Malaga.
The husband was charged with reckless homicide.
The investigation is ongoing.
