Wishbone Kitchen founder and private chef Meredith Hayden drops pre-order for her long-awaited cookbook

I remember the first time I came across Meredith Hayden’s videos she was a high-flying private chef working out of the exclusive Hamptons postcodes in the summer.

The specially trained chef gave her followers an intimate look into what it takes to run a kitchen and plate up for VIP clients, and in turn she achieved almost overnight success on TikTok and Instagram.

The young entrepreneur has promised fans a cookbook with her famously “unfussy but elegant” sweet treats and savoury dishes and finally the pre-order has dropped on Amazon Australia.

While Australian fans hope the hardcover copy makes it to our shores, right now the Kindle option is available for $19.99.

The bad news? It actually won’t drop into your Kindle until May 13, 2025.

But before it does, Meredith has promised to give her fans a sneak peek inside of the book, which will feature 100 recipes from her so-called “Wishbone Kitchen”.

“Here you’ll find big salads (Blueberry BBQ Grilled Chicken Salad) and sharable sammies (the Ultimate Italian); there are your starters, your grazers, your chatting-with-friends snackers like Hot Crab Dip and Really Good Guac,” the Amazon description reads.

“Serve the Pink Lemon Pasta when friends come over after work or pack up the Farro Broccoli Salad for lunch the next day.

“Snack on an Heirloom Tomato Galette and veg out on Asparagus Fries with Feta.

“Your authority on all things seafood, Meredith shows you the easiest way to break down a lobster so that you can use it in a number of recipes like the Lobster Avocado Salad and Wok Lobster.

“Or how to shuck oysters so you can enjoy them grilled or with a yuzu kosho mignonette. Throw your own Nantucket Clam Bake, why not?”

After revealing her very exciting news online, Meredith claimed the pre-order link on her website had actually “broken” as a result of so many visitors to the site, such is the joy for her latest project.

“Meredith is gonna get me in the kitchen!!!” one follower wrote.

“So exciting! I absolutely can’t wait to get a copy but also, there is something so fun about the way you talk us through the way that you cook. I’m falling back in love with cooking or just relearning,” another follower said.

A third added: “The grilled shrimp and corn salad changed my family’s life. We are bonded. United. Nobody fights”.
