Wimbledon 2024 LIVE: Tennis scores as Fearnley faces Djokovic and Boulter battles Dart before Andy Murray’s return

All of a sudden, Boulter has a bit of a lead on Court One. She breaks Dart’s serve before racing into the 40-0 lead in her service game, with Dart eventually looping a shot long from Boulter’s serve to make it 4-2.

Dart fights back in the seventh game though, getting a 30-15 lead before Boulter crashes a shot against the net for 40-15.

Dart’s next serve is a good one, forcing Boulter to play the looping return over and setting her up for an easy volley across the British number one., for 4-3.

A confident start from Djokovic as he holds with a backhand winner down the line. Fearnley is already finding out the Serbian’s ability to open up the court and find angles. He seemed taken aback by the first Djokovic forehand that sent him running out wide.

But Fearnley holds to love as Djokovic sends three returns long of the baseline – and then the wildcard sends down an ace to take the game! That should settle some nerves.

Over on Court 16, Francisco Comesana goes into a tie-break in the third set against Adam Walton.

It’s a tight one too, as they’re briefly at 11-11 before the Australian edges it 14-12!

It’s 2-1 on sets there then, with the Australian leading at 5-7, 6-1, 7-6 (14-12).

We’re almost ready to go on Centre Court as Jacob Fearnley takes on Novak Djokovic, in the match of the 22-year-old’s life. There are a few Scotland shirts on Centre Court, with the Edinburgh player in action before the Murray brothers.

Now comes the challenge of facing the greatest of all time. “Yeah, it’s going to be a little bit intimidating, but it’s a match that I’m super excited for,” Fearnley said a couple of days ago. “It’s the biggest match of my career so far. Just to be able to share the court with a player like that will be really special.

“I’ve watched so many videos of him. It doesn’t look like there’s many flaws in his game. I’m going to just try and enjoy it, put my game out on the court and see what happens. I don’t think there’s many tactics going into the match.”

Boulter makes a strange decision, with both players at the net, to just nudge the ball over towards Dart, and the latter returns with an easy lob to take advtange.

Boulter is lucky though, as Dart hits the next point into the net. Dart goes long on the next shot and Boulter has the chance to hold serve…

But she goes long again! The sixth deuce.

The British number one holds serve as she forces Dart into two mistakes, and we’re level.

Another close game ends in a couple of deuces after Boulter comes from 30-0 behind to level it.

A couple of sloppy shots and missed first serves leaves us at deuce once more, before a lovely disguised backhand from Boulter gives her the advantage. She hits the net again though, and it’s deuce once more.

Dart moves ahead into an early lead on Court One, and it’s 1-2 in the first set.

Boulter returns a serve long before a lucky shot hits the top of the net to take it away from Dart for deuce.

Dart is given an easy smash return for advantage, before she crashes a shot wide for a second deuce.

Dart plays a great passing shot for another advantage, before Boulter fails to return the serve and Dart holds her serve.

On Court 3, Alex de Minaur had raced into a two-set lead against Jaume Munar, winning the first two 6-2, 6-2.

Nevertheless, the Spaniard pulled him back, and it briefly stood at 5-5 in the third set.

However, the Australian won the next game and there was no looking back from there as he completed a straight-sets win 6-2. 6-2, 7-5.

On Court One, British number one Katie Boulter is underway against Harriet Dart.

On Court 16, Francisco Comesana – who beat sixth-seed Andrey Rublev in the first round – has levelled his third set against Adam Walton.

That matchs stands at 7-5, 1-6, 5-5 now.
