Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales will not be meeting with Prince Harry when he comes to London this month, a source close to the couple has said.
The estranged royal, who now lives in the US with wife Meghan and their two children, is visiting the UK on May 8 for an Invictus Games event.

But a friend of the Prince and Princess of Wales said the pair are still feeling “completely betrayed” after the publication of Harry’s memoir Spare and the 2022 Netflix documentary Harry and Meghan.
“They don’t speak to Harry and Meghan, and they are certainly not about to start when Catherine is at her most vulnerable,” the source told OK!, referring to Catherine’s cancer diagnosis.
“Both sides understand each other’s position clearly now.
“William and Catherine felt completely betrayed by Harry’s memoir.”
Harry made a number of claims about his older brother in Spare, including that William physically attacked him during an argument about Meghan.
He also claimed that William and Kate were the ones to suggest he wore a now-notorious Nazi costume to a party in 2005 when he was 20 years old.
Royal author Tom Quinn recently said that Harry wanted to reconnect with the pair during his upcoming visit, but it seems that’s unlikely to happen.
“Given Kate’s cancer diagnosis, Harry will certainly make efforts to see his brother and Kate when he returns to the UK in May — if it happens at all, it’s to be a very brief, carefully choreographed meeting and organised to last a short time so that the brothers can avoid any difficult conversations,” Quinn said.
“At the same time, Harry knows how it will look if he comes back to the UK and doesn’t see his brother and Kate.
“It’s going to be a very awkward time.”
It’s not known how much time Harry is likely to spend with his father King Charles III, who has returned to public-facing duties after his own treatment for cancer.
When the King revealed he had cancer, Harry made a flying visit to the monarch on February 6, before returning to his family home in Montecito, California.
And while many royal watchers have expressed their desire for the former “Fab Four” to reconcile, one insider told OK! that William and Kate have accepted the situation as it is, and are happy to get on with their lives.
“The whole situation doesn’t use up a huge amount of their mental energy anymore,” the source claimed.
“William and Kate have accepted it and moved on.
“Cancer puts things in perspective.
“William respects his father’s wish to reconcile with his son, but his focus now is on protecting his family from stressful situations.”
A palace insider told the outlet that William and Kate preferred to keep quiet rather than respond to the various claims coming from the other side of the pond.
“Every time they turn around, Harry and Meghan have planted some new allegation against them or petty story,” a palace insider told the outlet.
“It is hard for them not to be able to defend themselves, but silence is always the best response.”
