(KTLA) — Since many of the winners on Oscar night will likely be the expected and predicted winners, Oscar producers have decided to increase the excitement by putting on some huge performances.
After multiple reports of speculation, Ryan Gosling will get on the mic and perform “I’m Just Ken” from the summer hit “Barbie.” DJ and record producer Marc Ronson will join him onstage for the performance.
The duo has been having fun with the song.
Over the holidays, they released three versions of “I’m Just Ken.” Among them includes “I’m Just Ken (Merry Kristmas Barbie),” “I’m Just Ken (In My Feelings Acoustic)” and “I’m Just Ken (Purple Disco Machine Remix).”
On Oscar night, Gosling is expected to hit the stage with dozens of dancers.
“My guess is that we will see several major names from the movie in ‘surprise’ cameos during this giant number,” predicted Sam Rubin, entertainment anchor at Nexstar’s KTLA.
On the softer side, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas will perform the touching “What Was I Made For?” also from “Barbie.”
Many are predicting Eilish will take home the trophy for Best Song. The song already earned a Grammy for Song of the Year and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song.
Singer/songwriter Jon Batiste is set to hit the Oscars stage to sing his song, “It Never Went Away,” from his deeply personal documentary, “American Symphony.” The film follows the musician for a year and documents his wife Suleika Jaouad’s journey with leukemia.
Things will get hot when singer Becky G performs the Diane Warren song “The Fire Inside” from the Eva Longoria-directed film “Flamin’ Hot.”
“The entire theater will be dancing on their feet,” Sam revealed.
The film was streamed on Hulu and is based on the inspiring story of Richard Montañez, a former Frito-Lay janitor who claims he invented Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.
Lastly, the audience will enjoy a true cultural moment as Scott George and the Osage singers will perform “Wahzhazhe (A Song for My People)” from “Killers of the Flower Moon.”
George is making history, as he is the first Indigenous nominee in the Oscars Best Original Song category.
You can watch all the performances at the 96th Academy Awards on Sunday at 4 p.m. PST. It will be broadcast on ABC from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Jimmy Kimmel is returning as the show’s host.
