Who Decides War’s Vacation Diary From Barbados

Scroll through Ev Bravado and Téla D’Amore’s Instagram accounts and you might come away with the impression that the Who Decides War designers are always on the move. Indeed, as their business grows it takes them across the globe. As 2023 segued into 2024, Bravado, D’Amore, and their son headed to the Caribbean for a recharge and a chance to reconnect with family and heritage. “Aside from its stunning beauty, we visit Barbados as much as possible because so much of Barbados made Ev the person he is today, so it is super important for us to immerse Judah in this culture as well,” notes D’Amore. Bravado seconds that emotion, writing, “Barbados is extremely important to me because it’s where my dad is from and it’s the island where my parents met (my mother is from St. Vincent). I am a first generation American so keeping ties to my father’s homeland means the world to me. All of my father’s siblings besides one brother still reside on the island, so everytime I visit I am able to reconnect with my whole family there. I kind of want to say that Barbados is the reason I am who I am, my grandmother was a seamstress, along with her mother, and my grandfather was a tailor as well—I recently came to find out that my grandfather, as an excuse to see her, would ask her mother to use her sewing machine.” See photos of WDW’s vacation in paradise below.
