Durham Regional Police say officers concluded their investigation on June 3 into allegations that a restaurateur administered a noxious substance to two individuals on separate occasions.
The two people who came forward alleged that the owner of Harbord Fish and Chicken, located at 201 Dundas St. W., had “given them unwrapped chocolate which caused them both to have similar side effects on their physical health,” police said in a statement.
Police have not said what is believed to have been in the chocolate or what effects the substance allegedly had on the two people.
“The owner was arrested without incident after police executed a search warrant at his business,” Sgt. Joanne Bortoluss said.
