Andy Chu, 26, of Seattle’s Lake City district, told detectives he “may have been responsible for killing” girlfriend Zoey Suyun He while she was visiting from Hawaii over the weekend.

Chu is accused of twisting the victim’s neck and holding her underwater in a bathtub, the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said, KOMO reported.

Police responded after a neighbour said she saw water coming from the townhouse and called the landlord.

Once police and fire crews entered the home, they found a bathtub full of water and the bathroom sink running.

Cops discovered the victim with a throat laceration and an “ice pack on her throat and a small block behind her neck, supporting her head,” according to charging documents obtained by the outlet.

She also had “possible dried blood on her arms, shoulders, and chest as well as a granular substance covering these areas” and sustained blunt force trauma to her face, head, neck, chest, arms, and legs.

An autopsy revealed a heavy white ball that was lodged in her throat at the base of her tongue.

Security footage provided by a neighbour showed Chu and He walking into the home on Aug. 9.

The following day, Chu is seen on video leaving his house alone before friends took him to the hospital because he was acting “erratically,” the outlet reported.

The accused was arrested at the hospital after he allegedly groped a nurse’s breasts and tried to “pull her head down by hooking the back of her neck.”

Chu told cops he took molly, smoked marijuana and had “a crisis condition” which caused him to leave his townhouse.

He said he “thought he may have killed” his girlfriend, detailing that he had “a memory of choking her, twisting her neck, holding her down underwater in the tub.”

Chu told investigators he had been dating He since January and that she had just arrived from Hawaii, where they both went to the same high school, KHON reported.

He said he thought he broke her neck and “remembered her bleeding from her nose, which he wiped away.”

The accused then said he pulled her from the tub and tried to revive her by “sprinkling the Acai powder all over her” and “placing a ball similar to a golf ball in her mouth to fix her jaw.”

Chu was charged with first-degree murder and felony assault.

His bail was set at $5 million. His next scheduled court appearance is Aug. 28.
