Walmart responds to bed bugs inquiry at a Tennessee location

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — Walmart’s corporate offices have responded to questions regarding an alleged outbreak of bed bugs at its Greeneville, Tennessee, location.

Local NewsNation affiliate WJHL reached out to Walmart after receiving multiple calls and emails from viewers claiming there was an infestation of bed bugs at the store at 3755 E Andrew Johnson Highway.

In a statement, Walmart representatives said measures were being taken to rectify the situation. Pest services reportedly visited the store and marked off the areas affected.

We’re taking all the necessary steps to help ensure a safe environment for customers and associates by working to quickly resolve the issue.

Our third-party pest management service has visited the store, and after conducting a thorough review, found the situation to be an isolated incident and has blocked off the impacted area for treatment.
