What’s not to love about a knit dress? It’s a comfortable, one-and-done option that makes staying cozy—and looking put together—simple through cold winter months. I plan to toggle between off-the-shoulder and fitted silhouettes.—Kiana Murden, beauty shopping editor

Sleek Loafers
We wrote about loafers in our winter shoe trends report, and they’ve been on my mind since. I know the chunky ones are ideal for winter (it’s hard to beat the toothy lug-sole on a rainy day) but I’m more drawn to this classic shape, which will transition nicely into spring. They have a bit of a The Row vibe—and plot twist, also come in cherry red. I think it’ll be a great new work shoe, too!—Talia Abbas, senior shopping editor

Red Hot Sweaters
I’ve always been a fan of anything red—I even dyed my hair red, so I’m truly dedicated—and am so happy to see the color trending this season. Statement Belts
I love a good belt to dress up a simple white T-shirt and jeans look, and recently discovered this brand, Déhanche, on Net-a-Porter. The “Revenge” belt is at the top of my wish list! It reminds me a bit of my studded Khaite belt—one of the most-wanted items of 2023—except with gold hardware and chunky annulets that may or may not be heard from across the room. Sensational and sensorial! Love. —Talia Abbas, senior shopping editor

Longline Coats
There’s nothing I love more than wearing a great coat and calling it a day. Thankfully, exceptionally long tailored coats are right on trend, which confirms my coat-as-outfit approach. With a strong, structured coat to wear over top, you can keep things pretty simple underneath. All you need is a great shoe to peep out underneath! I’m currently wearing Loulou Studio’s Vido option on repeat, it’s warm and fits over even my chunkiest knits.—Madeline Fass, senior shopping market editor

Socks + Mary Janes
I love to wear weirdly mid-length skirts and in the winter that means I get to experiment with tights and socks so I don’t freeze while walking outside. Lately, I am feeling drawn in by the combo of a super ’80s-style scrunch sock and a Mary Jane or loafer. The secret, I think, is to get a fairly thick-ribbed sock that is at least knee-high so you can really gather that scrunch around the ankle—and a good height that reaches at least the lower part of the calf. Am I attracted to it because it reminds me of my high school uniform? Perhaps! But the point stands that it’s a good combo. —Laia Garcia Furtado, senior fashion news editor

Decorated Beanie Babies
In my opinion, no outfit is complete without a hair accessory or a hat. Fancy Flats
Dare I say it, but I think I need to invest in a pair of flats ASAP. I’m a boots and heels girl through and through, but something about the ballet flat has caught my attention this season (…maybe it’s because I have 10+ years of ballet under my belt?).
