Van Jones Thinks This Celebrity’s RNC Speech Was ‘Most Dangerous’ For Democrats

CNN’s Van Jones said Monday that model and television personality Amber Rose’s address backing GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee was “probably the most dangerous speech for the Democratic coalition.”

Rose expressed her hope for “a better country for our children” as she said the “best chance we have to give our babies a better life” is to elect Trump as the next president, saying she’d done her research and after initially being anti-Trump had realized the MAGA movement doesn’t care “if you’re Black, white, gay of straight, it’s all love.”

“That is a young woman of color,” noted Jones. “She is describing the experience a lot of people have, feeling that maybe if you’re around liberals you might get criticized too much, you might not be able to speak your mind, and she spoke to it really well, and she’s way more famous than any of us up here.”

“To the extent that these guys are trying to bust up our coalition, that was a bunker buster right there,” he added.

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper said Rose spoke directly to the audience at home. Contributor Scott Jennings agreed, calling Rose “super talented” and someone who “knows how to speak plainly and directly, knows how to use the camera, the cadence of it.”

Jones later described Rose as “the most effective” speaker and predicted, “I would not be surprised if she doesn’t have a political future.”
