Urgent recall on WA wine label’s rosé over presence of glass

An urgent recall has been triggered on a bottle of wine from Margaret River, in WA’s South West.

The presence of glass found in 750ml bottles of Voyager Estate’s 2023 Tempranillo Rosé has prompted the alert.

Food and drink products containing glass “may cause illness/injury if consumed”.

According to Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ), the product has been available for sale at the cellar door and independent liquor retailers in NSW, QLD and WA.

It has also been available for purchase online nationally.

“Consumers should not consume this product,” FSANZ said.

“Consumers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”
