Two teenagers are in hospital after crashing an allegedly stolen SUV in Sydney’s southwest.

The teens were driving the SUV along Camden Valley Way in Horningsea Park when the accident occurred, police said.

They were allegedly driving at speed before crashing into a concrete wall, 7NEWS understands. The car came to a stop in the backyard of a home.

Shocked locals said they heard a loud bang in the early hours of Thursday morning.

“We went up, and we looked, we though ‘Oh my god the wall has fallen’,” one local told 7NEWS.

“Now my parents are really concerned that another car is going to hit, and it’s not safe anymore.”

The two teenagers inside the car took off on foot and fled the scene, police said.

However, they were later located by police, and arrested nearby.

Paramedics treated the teenagers, one for lacerations to his knees and arms, while the other suffered a hip injury.

They have since been taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, where they remain under police guard.

No charges have been laid.
