A Kitchener man did the unthinkable — he won more than $750,000 on two seemingly impossible 12-team soccer parlays with Proline.

Mengsteab Zerai told OLG he loves playing Proline during the soccer season because it’s his favourite sport.

A $25 bet won him an astonishing $597,354.90 while a second winning ticket off a $50 bet netted him $152,693.50.
“I was watching the games and I was a bit nervous,” Zerai said while picking up his winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
“When my selected teams won, I was just as excited as the players.”
The 34-year-old retail worker recalled how he started shaking and became emotional when he discovered his win.
“My wife was the first person I shared the news with,” he said, adding that she didn’t believe him at first.
“I asked her to guess how much I won, and she guessed $10,000, then $50,000,” he laughed.
“I told her I won over $500,000. I am super excited!”
Zerai hasn’t decided how he plans to spend the windfall but said it would definitely be going “towards something very special.”
He continued: “Whatever my wife and I decide, it will be something to get us ahead.”
Zerai added: “This win is such a blessing. I am so grateful.”
