A man is fighting for his life and a woman is seriously injured after they were allegedly hit by an SUV during a dispute in Sydney’s west.
Emergency services were called to Cygnus Close, Doonside, following reports of a “neighbour dispute” about 8.50pm on Monday.
On arrival, officers found a man and a woman had been hit by an SUV.

The woman, 42, was treated by paramedics for serious head injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition, while the man, 41, was treated for serious head, chest and leg injuries and taken to hospital in a critical condition.
NSW Police has launched an investigation into the incident.
A 27-year-old man was located by police nearby and arrested.
He was taken to Blacktown Hospital for precautionary reasons where he remains under police guard.
“Inquiries are ongoing,” police said.
