Toronto Police say officers responded to an assault call at a Best Buy store near McCowan Rd. and Progress Ave. around 11:45 a.m. on Dec. 6.

It’s alleged three men and a woman entered the store, selected an item and tried to leave without paying.

However, an off-duty cop in the store at the time intervened and tried to stop them. The officer was then allegedly stabbed by one of the men.

The four bandits were captured on video loading the stolen item into a blue Toyota Sienna minivan before fleeing north on Brimley Rd. and then west on Hwy. 401.
