Trump posts fake AI images of Taylor Swift, fans

Former President Trump shared several fake images of popstar Taylor Swift and her fans showing support for his campaign on Sunday that appear to have been generated with artificial intelligence (AI).

“I accept,” Trump wrote in a post on his platform Truth Social, appearing to suggest he was accepting Swift’s endorsement. The popstar has not endorsed the former president or Vice President Harris, although she backed President Biden in 2020.

One of the images depicts Swift dressed as Uncle Sam and says, “Taylor wants you to vote for Donald Trump.”

Another image that appears to have been originally posted on X and is labeled as satire shows women dressed in “Swifties for Trump” shirts and says, “Swifties turning to Trump after ISIS foiled Taylor Swift concert.”

Swift’s concerts in Vienna were cancelled earlier this month after Austrian officials uncovered a terrorist plot targeting the concert venue. Austrian authorities said the suspects were inspired by the Islamic State group and al Qaeda.

Two of the photos do not appear to be AI-generated and show a real woman in a “Swifties for Trump” shirt.

“Swifties for Trump is a massive movement that grows bigger every single day. While Kamala Harris is guilty as sin for all the hurt she has caused every American,” Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung said in a statement posted on X, quoting Swift’s lyrics from her most recent album.
