Trump news today: Trump attacks ‘Biden crime family’ after initially extending well wishes to Hunter Biden over guilty verdict

Questions are being asked over whether Trump received preferential treatment during his pre-sentencing probation interview on Monday.

The step is required and routine following any criminal conviction, but how Trump went about it was not.

He called in virtually, reportedly from his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida and had his attorney, Todd Blanche, join him on the call.

Following the president’s son conviction on three felony gun charges yesterday, the Trump team predictably branded the trial “nothing more than a distraction from the real crimes of the Biden Crime Family” and baselessly alleged that the Bidens “raked in tens of millions of dollars from China, Russia and Ukraine.”

But an earlier draft of that statement toyed with a more sympathetic tone, wishing Hunter well “in his recovery and legal affairs” before the line was dropped, according to CNN.

The convicted felon has once again lashed out at the “Corrupt Soros backed” Alvin Bragg and his “Zombie Case” after it was announced that the lawman would appear before the very Republican-sounding “House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government” on July 12, a day after Trump is sentenced and three days before he is nominated to be the GOP’s presidential candidate.

Former president Donald Trump is not the holder of liquor licenses at his three New Jersey golf clubs, his company said Tuesday in response to an inquiry by the New Jersey attorney general’s office into whether his convictions in a New York case might affect those licenses.

The Trump Organization issued a statement Tuesday saying the former president is not an officer or director of any entity that holds a liquor license in New Jersey, or anywhere in the United States.

The state Attorney General’s office said Monday it is looking into whether Trump’s convictions on 34 counts in a trial involving hush money payments to a porn star and falsification of business records to hide it violates a prohibition on anyone convicted of a crime involving “moral turpitude” from holding a liquor license.

Rudy Giuliani appears in a new mugshot weeks after pleading not guilty to election interference charges in Arizona.

The former New York City mayor’s latest mugshot was released by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office on Monday. Giuliani gave a wily smile as he went before the cameras. He had a previous mugshot taken in Georgia after being charged there, but appeared far less excited in that portrait.

In late May, Giuliani pleaded not guilty to nine felony charges for his alleged role in a 2020 election interference plot. Another 17 other people were also charged in connection to the case.

Donald Trump has claimed that Nevada was stolen from him in the 2020 presidential election, in part due to the state’s former Democratic governor, despite the fact he lost by thousands of votes.

A Georgia Republican congressional candidate who was convicted over his part in the US Capitol riot stormed out of a live televised debate on Sunday night just a week before his party’s primary runoff.
