A truck fire has shut part of a busy Sydney motorway, with motorists warned of “significant delays”.
Emergency services were called to a truck fire on the M5 East at Kingsgrove just before 11am Friday.
The motorway has been shut westbound at Kingsgrove Rd, with two city-bound lanes also closed.

The fire has been extinguished but traffic remains heavy, as of 11.30am.
All city-bound lanes have reopened, however, westbound lanes remain closed as clean-up and salvage work continue.
Transport for NSW warned there are heavy traffic conditions in both directions and motorists should “expect significant delays”.
Drivers are urged to exercise caution and use an alternative route.
Firefighters and motorway crews are on site directing traffic, with a diversion in place via the King George’s Rd off ramp.
No injuries have been reported.
