Trans baby killer sues prison preacher for hijab ban

Trans baby killer Autumn Cordellionè – aka Jonathan Richardson – is suing a prison preacher for not letting them wear a hijab.

The 55-year-old, who now identifies as a Muslim woman, is serving a 55-year sentence for strangling his 11-month-old stepdaughter to death in Indiana.

Now, the reborn murderer is playing jailhouse lawyer and suing the chaplain at the Branchville Correctional Facility for torpedoing the hijab fashion outside the inmate’s cell. Cordellionè wants $150,000 in damages and wants to wear the hijab anywhere in the jail.

“I informed him that I wear the hajib [sic] in order to cover my head and ears for modesty purposes, as I am an Islamic practicing transwoman,” Cordellionè wrote in the suit filed in November.

But the chaplain said the murderer’s listed themselves as being of the pagan faith of “Wiccan” – Islam was not listed.

“I responded that I am an eclectic practitioner who is a member of the Theosophical Society in America,” Cordellionè countered. “Male Islamic practitioners are allowed to wear their kufis across the facility, and are not restricted to their bed areas only.”

The jailbird added that their 14th Amendment rights have been violated, along with their 8th Amendment rights against cruel and unusual punishment.

And Cordellionè is claiming that he was the victim of “harassment and ridicule” by fellow Muslim convicts. He added that the chaplain should have known “the stigma and shame that is attributed to Islamic women when they go uncovered and without a hijab.”

He wrote: “Women are viewed as whores, tempters of men, and adulterators; by Islamic society both in and out of prison. I have been shunned, made a social pariah, and amongst my own religious community.”

The convicted killer murdered the little girl in September 2001 while the victim’s mother was away and the baby became fussy.

He told a jail guard: “Well all I know is I killed the little f***ing b*tch.’”

Besides suing the prison preacher, Cordellionè has also launched a lawsuit against Indiana for refusing to pay for his gender-affirming surgery. A 2023 law prohibits the Indiana Department of Corrections from providing gender-affirming medical care to incarcerated transgender people.

In that case, he is represented by the American Civil Liberties Union, which calls the surgery a “medical necessity.”

Recently in Minnesota, a trans inmate was awarded $495,000 for sex-change surgery and was transferred to a women’s prison.
