Train lines across greater Sydney are facing major delays as heavy rain and flash flooding continue to lash the city.
The wet weather has “damaged equipment” at Redfern station which is expected to delay multiple train lines across the city, Transport for NSW said on Friday morning.
As of 8.40am, a warning for wet weather and expected delays was in place “until further notice” for the following lines:

Travellers are urged to continue checking Transport for NSW for updates and further information on their train lines.
Meanwhile, NSW Premier Chris Minns said on Friday, it is “very important” that residents of NSW listen to updates, especially those who live in an at-risk community.
“It’s vitally important that you don’t take unnecessary risks, particularly driving through floodwaters,” he said.
The SES has carried out six rescues in the last few days, with that number expected to climb.
Those in at-risk communities are also urged to download the Hazards Near Me app for updates.
