Traffic chaos on M1 Pacific Mwy at Mount Kuring-Gai after pedestrian hit near Berowra off ramp

Motorists are being warned of significant delays on a major highway after a crash north of Sydney.

Emergency services were called to the M1 Pacific Mwy at Mount Kuring-Gai, near the Berowra off ramp, after a pedestrian was struck by a truck about midday on Saturday.

“A woman, believed to be aged in her 30s, was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics before being transported to Royal North Shore Hospital for further treatment,” police said.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

One of three southbound lanes on the M1 has been closed approaching Church St.

Emergency services and traffic crews are working to clear the crash.

Traffic is heavy, so motorists have been advised to allow for extra travel time and to use the Pacific Hwy instead.
