A Toronto man was arrested and charged after two girls were allegedly sexually assaulted at a Scarborough pool.

Toronto Police said they responded on Saturday to a call about a sexual assault in the Birchmount Rd.-Danforth Ave. area after two “young girls” were allegedly approached by someone at the Birchmount Community Centre pool during a public swim.

MD Abdul Karim, 34, is charged with two counts each of sexual assault and sexual interference.

Investigators believe there may be more victims and asked anyone with information to contact them at 416-808-7474.

Man wanted by police after alleged domestic incident

A 27-year-old man is wanted by Peel Regional Police as part of an intimate partner violence-related investigation in Brampton.

Police asked for the public’s help in locating Mahad Amjad, of no fixed address, after an incident on Friday.

“Police believe Mahad to be armed and dangerous,” Peel police said in a statement. “If seen, members of the public should call 911. Do not approach or make contact.

“A warrant for his arrest has been sought and Mahad is encouraged to seek legal counsel and turn himself in to the police.”

Police urged anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 905-453-2121, Ext. 4990.

Manhunt sparked by Scarborough break-in

Police are trying to track down a 51-year-old Toronto man after a house was broken into earlier this month in Scarborough.

Toronto Police said they responded to a break-and-enter call on May 6 at about 10:30 p.m. in the Ellesmere Rd.-Dundalk Dr. area after a man, who was known to the victim, allegedly broke into a house.

Police said the victim yelled at the man, who fled from the scene. The victim allegedly provided evidence of a previous altercation with the man when police arrived.

Jamie Sheppard is wanted for break-and-enter, assault causing bodily harm and failing to comply with a release order. He is also wanted on an outstanding warrant for forcible confinement, uttering threats, assault and failing to comply with a release order.

He is 5-foot-11 with a medium build and white hair.

Restaurant worker allegedly assaulted by stranger

Toronto Police asked for the public’s help in identifying a man after a restaurant worker was allegedly assaulted by a stranger.

Police said they responded to an assault call on Monday at about 6 a.m. in the Bloor St. W.-Bathurst St. area, where the victim was working at a restaurant. A man allegedly walked into the staff area to confront the victim before assaulting them and fleeing.

Police said the man and the victim were not known to each other.

The suspect is a 5-foot-10 male with a muscular build and short black hair and is believed to be between 29 and 32 years old. He was wearing a black T-shirt, black jeans and Blundstone boots.
