GUNTER: The harsh realities of electric vehicles in Canada

If the extreme cold temperatures across most of Canada earlier this month taught us anything, it’s that electric vehicles (EVs) are simply not practical for a country this big and this cold, Lorne Gunter reported.

While Canadians are not ready to get rid of their internal combustion engines, the Trudeau government and Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault are willing to risk hundreds of billions of your tax dollars and mine for manufacturing subsidies, purchase subsidies and EV infrastructure to try to force a market for electrics into existence.

The Liberals’ EV mandate is a very expensive farce that will likely produce few, if any, environmental benefits.

WARMINGTON: This was a jihad-like terror attack in Canada that no one seems to know about

A 28-year-old man who allegedly fired a gun and threw homemade bombs in Edmonton City Hall faces a string of charges and is under investigation by national security police.

The scary part is that the jihadist-inspired terror attack linked to Israel’s war in Gaza has practically gone unnoticed, Joe Warmington reported.

The heavily armed suspect sprayed gunfire all over the building and could have done more damage, life-altering damage.

Fortunately, no one was injured and a brave security officer handled the situation. But what if people had been injured? Would there have been more reports on the attack? Would Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have made a comment then?

Joe Rogan reacts to crowd chanting ‘F*** Trudeau’ at UFC event

Joe Rogan has always made clear his feelings for Justin Trudeau are … not the warm and fuzzy kind.

So, it’s not surprising when UFC 297 fans at Scotiabank Arena last weekend began chanting “F— Trudeau,” Rogan would weigh in.

The podcaster’s reaction was a mix of glee and smug satisfaction as he mouthed the words along with the crowd, Denette Wilford reported.

The only thing he added was advice to Canadians: “Canada, get your s— together! Come back. Come back to what you used to be.”

Friends, family perplexed after frozen bodies of Kansas City Chiefs fans found

It’s a mystery that has confounded the family and friends of three men whose frozen bodies were found in the backyard of another friend’s home two days after they had gathered to watch a Kansas City Chiefs football game.

The homeowner claimed to have “no knowledge” of the tragedy that unfolded in his own yard, and foul play is not suspected in the deaths of Ricky Johnson, 38, Clayton McGeeney, 36, and David Harrington, 37, according to the Kansas City Police Department.

But while toxicology reports won’t be made available for weeks, the victims’ loved ones are definitely concerned.

In a follow-up report, Johnson’s father suggested the men may have been drugged and left for dead, while McGeeney’s fiancee couldn’t believe she had to break into the man’s house and called the police herself after seeing the bodies.

“Nothing is adding up,” she wrote on social media. “Dave, Clay and Ricky need and deserve justice.”
