‘Entitled BMW driver’ criticized for illegal move to avoid Highway 401 traffic
An “entitled” BMW driver was slammed online for thinking the rules don’t apply to them.
They got off the jam-packed Hwy. 401 near Dixie Rd. in Mississauga, drove through a grassy field like they were in an ATV, and illegally merged onto an adjacent road, Jane Stevenson detailed.
We don’t know what’s worse – that driver thinking they can do whatever they want, rules of the road be damned, or that they weren’t caught and are likely going to keep pulling stunts like this until they do.

SIMMONS: Mark Shapiro can only try to shelter himself in impending Jays front-office shuffle
The Blue Jays’ terrible record so far this season is exactly why Mark Shapiro might be sending GM Ross Atkins packing – but it won’t be branded a firing.
Rather, it’ll be chalked up to a “mutual decision” that’s in the “best interest of the club.”
With one season left on Shapiro’s contract and two years left on Atkins’, the Blue Jays president will likely shuffle Atkins off to another front office position and replace him with another GM that he will have complete control over.
Because that’s how Shapiro operates, Steve Simmons writes.
He’ll do whatever he can to hang on as long as possible, Atkins will continue to do as he’s told, while the Jays’ season, roster and future goes nowhere.

LILLEY: Here’s the facts on the LCBO’s $2.5-billion dividend
The strike at the LCBO’s retail outlets has led to a discussion about the future of the organization.
The union representing the striking workers claims they provide funds for vital public services and selling alcohol elsewhere will send that money into private hands.
However, Brian Lilley writes that’s far from the truth.
Union chair Colleen MacLeod wants the public to believe that without her union members selling you booze, health care and education in Ontario will suffer.
But if one compares Ontario to other provinces, they would see that is false.

LEAFS NOTES: Kyle Dubas delves into his ‘biggest mistake’ in new book and, no, it wasn’t the Tavares signing

The pursuit of John Tavares by the Toronto Maple Leafs and then-GM Kyle Dubas is covered in a new book, not to mention how playoff success eluded him.
Much of that is tied to contract difficulty with the NHL’s salary cap after he outbid many teams for Tavares – but Dubas has no regrets in the deal that continues to plague his replacement Brad Treliving, Lance Hornby reported.
He does, however, lament that he did more for the contracts of William Nylander, Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews.

Prince Harry increasingly isolated from friends, who find Meghan ‘difficult:’ Report
More than four years and two children later, Prince Harry is reportedly missing his friends now more than ever, especially given his former pals are snubbing him because they don’t like Meghan Markle.
Meghan is “difficult,” according to the U.K. Mirror, while Harry’s memoir didn’t help matters.
Harry and Meghan also happened to miss one of his closest friends’ wedding and the last time the prince was in London he stayed in a hotel room on his own rather than bunk with mates or family.
But it’s clear bros before… um, wives doesn’t apply here.
