Three children seriously injured in Milperra crash, south-west of Sydney

Three children and a woman in her 40s were seriously injured when their car smashed into another in Sydney’s southwest.

The crash, involving a total of seven people, happened about 2am on Saturday along Milperra Road in Milperra.

New South Wales Police said officers arrived to find the children and woman trapped inside their SUV.

They were freed and taken to hospitals in Westmead with serious injuries.

Three people inside the sedan were also taken to hospital.

Police said two 18-year-old passengers were taken to Liverpool Hospital with minor injuries.

An 18-year-old driver was also taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing.

“Police have established a crime scene and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit have launched an investigation into the incident,” police said.
