Texas bank robbery with child

DALLAS, Texas (WJW) – The FBI is hunting for a man who brought a small child along with him during a bank robbery in Texas.

According to the FBI’s Dallas Division, the robbery happened on June 6 around 2:10 p.m. at a First Convenience Bank branch located inside a Fort Worth Walmart.

According to the FBI, the suspect walked up to the bank teller with a small child seated in a shopping cart. That is when the suspect showed a note to the teller, demanding money.

After “obtaining a known amount of U.S. currency,” the suspect pushed the child in the shopping cart toward the exit, before continuing to flee the scene while carrying the child.

The suspect is described as a 35 to 45-year-old man who stands at about 5’7” to 5’9” tall with a thin build.

According to the FBI, the robbery suspect was last seen wearing a baseball hat, black sunglasses, a multi-color “fishing shirt,” khaki cargo shorts and “Hey Dude” shoes.

The FBI asks that anyone who has information about this robbery or suspect call FBI Dallas at 972-559-5000 or submit a tip online.
