Teenage boy charged over Sydney crash that killed two other teens on Windsor Rd in McGraths Hill

A teenager has been charged over a fatal crash in Sydney’s northwest.

The 17-year-old boy was behind the wheel of a Nissan sedan when it crashed into a Ford Falcon sedan, then struck a power pole on Windsor Rd in McGraths Hill about 9.40pm on January 15.

Two other teens, aged 17 and 16, were passengers in the vehicle and suffered critical injuries during the crash. Both boys died at the scene.

The teenage driver suffered chest and internal injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital.

The driver of the Ford Falcon stopped to assist and alerted authorities to the crash. They later underwent mandatory blood and urine testing.

The 17-year-old driver of the Nissan was arrested on Tuesday and has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death and two counts of negligent driving occasioning death.

He was refused bail and will appear in a children’s court on Wednesday.
