Teen hospitalised after plunging into a creek during crash at Edmondson Park in Sydney’s southwest

An 18-year-old boy was hospitalised after he lost control of his car in Sydney’s southwest, and plunged into a creek bed early Saturday morning.

His grey Subaru wagon was found turned on its side in a deep embankment beside the bridge on Bernera Rd at Edmondson Park about 2am.

The teenager escaped with leg injuries and was taken to Liverpool Hospital.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing.

The crash comes just over a day after 18-year-old Selina Bennetts Ly died at the scene of a crash in nearby Wetherill Park.

She was driving with four passengers on Horsley Dr when she lost control of the car and crashed into a tree, about 11.15pm on Thursday night.

She was carrying four teenage passengers in her car, who were all injured in the crash, with one left fighting for life.
