A teen who allegedly robbed a pharmacy has been arrested in the surf of a Gold Coast beach.
The 19-year-old man is accused of trying to dump the medications he allegedly stole from the Surfers Paradise Boulevard pharmacy in the surf about 11pm on Wednesday.
He held up staff of the business with a knife and made off with an unknown number of medical products, according to police.

He ran off before police allegedly found him on the nearby Surfers Paradise beach a short time later.
Police allege he was trying to dump the “contents of his bag in the surf”.
An officer went into the surf to arrest him.
The Upper Coomera teen has been charged with armed robbery and is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
