Fans at Taylor Swift’s Friday night concert at Melbourne’s MCG have reported an incredible act of kindness by the singer’s father.
On 7NEWS journalist Jacqui Felgate’s Facebook page, a unknown mother of a Taylor Swift fan said she experienced an incredible moment as fans awaited the star’s arrival on stage.

“A good news story out of the MCG. My friend and her daughter had the cheap restricted seats from yesterday’s release and rocked up as soon as the gates opened,” the woman claimed.
“Sat down and Taylor Swift’s dad went around and handed them wristbands and entry into the VIP section — apparently about $2000 in total value.
“Seriously lucky and how generous and kind is Papa Swift!!!
“I asked if I could at least get her cheap seats since she got upgraded because I’ve almost sold my soul to get tix.”
The post garnered more than 9000 likes, with Felgate writing, “Wow!”
When Felgate posted the same message on Instagram, followers flocked to the comments section to express their delight.
“This is the best feelgood story,” one person wrote.
“Amazing!!” wrote another.
Others said they had heard of similar things happening at previous Taylor Swift concerts.
“Her parents have been doing this for years 🥹,” one person wrote.
Another follower tagged a friend, writing: ‘This sounds similar to what happened to you at the last concert!”
“He seems like the best guy, imagine being able to do this for people!” one person said.
Sweet and sour
The reported sweet act comes amid very sour heartbreak for some fans who were scammed out of their tickets just hours before the concert was due to start.
Melbourne mother Sarah had been looking forward to taking her daughters, aged 10 and 13, to the Friday concert, but discovered she had inadvertently acquired stolen tickets, she told AAP.
The person who originally owned the tickets had their account hacked, and the tickets sold to a third party who on-sold them, Sarah said.
Another Swift fan, Sophie Le, 33, had four concert tickets but said she discovered on Thursday that her account had been hacked and her tickets sold.
“I’m just holding on to hope at the moment, I was distraught,” she said.
