You might have assumed that, post-Hiddleswift-precipitated PR debacle, Tree Paine would have banned Taylor Swift from ever setting foot on Italian soil again. (I don’t care what @thanKyouaIMee13 says: those shots of “T-Swizzle” reenacting The Lizzie McGuire Movie are just as much to blame for #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty as Kimye.) Apparently, though, time heals all hashtag-inflicted wounds, because Swift is back in bel paese: specifically, during a break from The Eras Tour this week, America’s tortured poet laureate decamped to Lake Como with a certain tight end in tow, checking into the 16th-century Villa Sola Cabiati on the grounds of Grand Hotel Tremezzo.
Happily for the Traylor/Swelce/Tayvis shippers out there, all of the long-lens pap shots that have emerged from the trip so far look like stills from a fan-generated music video for Dean Martin’s “That’s Amore.” (Frankly, you have to be truly, madly, deeply in love with someone to wear a sparkly scarlet-and-mustard outfit for them in front of 40,000, predominantly French people, as Swift did at the Défense Arena in Paris this week.)
