Tata Curvv Petrol: Design and Features
The Tata Curvv EV and ICE versions share the new ATLAS platform, leading to a similar design across both models. Both feature a prominent LED daytime running light (DRL) strip above the front grille and use LED lighting for all elements, including indicators. However, the ICE version includes additional design features such as air vents, chrome accents, front sensors, and cameras.
Both versions maintain a coupe-like silhouette with a sloping roofline, sleek flush door handles, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear of the vehicle is equipped with connected LED tail lights and a roof spoiler. Notably, the Curvv ICE will be the first in its segment to offer a powered tailgate with gesture controls.
Tata Curvv Petrol: Expected Price
The base Smart variant, equipped with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine and a six-speed manual transmission, is anticipated to be priced at ₹9.35 lakh, ex-showroom. This makes it approximately ₹1.5 lakh more expensive than the Tata Nexon.
Tata Curvv Petrol: Interior and Comfort
Inside, the Curvv ICE will mirror the EV’s interior design, featuring a dual-tone burgundy and black color scheme, with the possibility of additional color options. It will include a four-spoke steering wheel, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a nine-speaker JBL audio system, and a wireless phone charging pad. The front seats will be ventilated, and the driver’s seat will have six-way electric adjustment, while the rear seats offer a two-step reclining function.
Tata Curvv Safety and Engine Options
Safety features of the Curvv include a 360-degree camera system, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), six airbags, electronic stability control, all-wheel disc brakes, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and an electronic parking brake with auto hold.The Curvv ICE will offer three engine options:
- A new 1.2-litre TGDI turbocharged petrol engine producing 123bhp and 225Nm of torque.
- A 1.2-litre turbo engine generating 118bhp and 170Nm of torque.
- A 1.5-litre diesel engine with 116bhp and 260Nm of torque.
All engines will be available with a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT), with the DCT being a first for a diesel engine in this segment.
Tata Curvv: Upcoming Variants and Editions
The Curvv ICE will be available in four trim levels: Smart, Pure, Creative, and Accomplished. It will also come in six exterior paint options, including a new Flame Red and the signature Gold Essence shade. Additionally, Tata Motors is expected to introduce a Dark Edition of the Curvv.
