Sydney driver fails to slow down at intersection, smashes into parked car, damages two houses

A 26-year-old driver left a trail of destruction when he failed to slow down at an intersection, crashed into a parked car and damaged two houses in Sydney’s south.

New South Wales Police said when the man lost control of his car, he hit a parked Lexus SUV, pushing into the front of a house on Broadarrow Road in Riverwood at 4.45 am on Saturday.

The 26-year-old’s car rolled onto its roof and hit a neighbouring home.

The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

He will undergo mandatory blood alcohol testing.

The two houses in Riverwood sustained minor damage.

New South Wales Police are investigating the crash.
