Suspect sought after Jeep allegedly stolen during Toronto test drive

An unidentified man is being sought after a Jeep was allegedly stolen after a test drive gone bad in North York earlier this month.

Toronto Police responded on March 11 at 3 p.m. to the Allen and Rimrock Rds. area.

Police said a man allegedly contacted another man about test-driving a Jeep Grand Wagoneer that was for sale. Upon arrival, the man got into the vehicle and sped off before the vehicle’s owner could enter the passenger side.

The vehicle was not returned.

Images of a suspect and the stolen vehicle have been released.

The man is described as having short dark hair, a dark beard and dark eyebrows. He was wearing glasses, dark shoes, beige khaki-style pants, a grey hoodie and a dark Nike jacket with an orange swoosh on the back.
