A suspect has been charged after a 41-year-old man was stabbed to death near Fort York early Saturday.

Toronto police say officers responded to a stabbing call in the area of Lake Shore Blvd. W. and Bathurst St. shortly before 2 a.m.

Officers arrived at the scene and located a man suffering from stab wounds, police said.
Emergency services personnel responded to the scene and provided life-saving measures, cops added.
The victim was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said a 25-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
Saturday evening, police announced Malik Kondell, of Toronto, was charged with second degree murder.
The dead man is believed to be the city’s 73rd murder victim of the year.
