Richmond’s longest-serving players have come together to welcome Dustin Martin into the 300 club ahead of the superstar’s milestone match this weekend.
Martin will return to the Tigers’ side for his 300th AFL game against Hawthorn on Saturday after he missed last Thursday’s win over Adelaide.

A triple premiership hero and the only footballer to win three Norm Smith Medals as best-afield in a grand final, Martin spent much of his career out of the public eye and rarely speaks to the media.
And while the reclusive 32-year-old will stay tight-lipped this week, he did pose for an iconic photo with club legends.
Kevin Bartlett (402 games), Jack Riewoldt (347), Trent Cotchin (306), Shane Edwards (303) and Francis Bourke (300) all returned to Punt Rd on Tuesday to officially welcome Martin to the 300 club.
The statue of club immortal Jack Dyer, who played 311 games, was also in their presence.
The milestone man was back at training on Tuesday and could be joined in the team by spearhead Tom Lynch, who hasn’t played since since undergoing hamstring surgery after Round 3.
He is listed as a “test” and would offer a huge boost to the Tigers as they look to celebrate Martin’s milestone with a win.
Richmond have the bye after the Hawthorn game and could yet opt to give Lynch more recovery time.
Midfielder Dion Prestia didn’t train and will miss with a calf strain.
Saturday will be a special occasion for the club and while Martin himself won’t speak, coach Adem Yze wasn’t shying away from the magnitude of the milestone.
“We did win, so he might have to come back through the VFL,” Yze said after the win over the Crows.
“Nah, but in all seriousness it’s a massive week for our club and it’s one that we want to celebrate one of our greatest players.
“We do that really well at our footy club … celebrate our people. And this is an opportunity to celebrate one of our best.
“We will obviously have an amazing week leading up to it.
“Our players will want to play well for him and make it a big occasion for him.
“So yeah, we’re not going to shy away from the fact that we want it to be a big spectacle and we want to obviously play well for him.”
